Woburn Will Have Preliminary Election In Mayor's Race
The ballot is set in Woburn for this fall's municipal election. See who is running for mayor, city council and school committee.
WOBURN, MA — With three candidates on the ballot, Woburn will hold a citywide preliminary election on Sept. 10 to narrow the field to two. In addition to Mayor Scott Galvin, first-time candidates Elizabeth Pedrini and Kerstin J. D. Lochrie are running for the city's top post. In the general election on Nov. 5, there will be contested races for mayor, school committee and for city council in wards three, five and seven.
Candidates had until Tuesday to return nomination papers to City Clerk William Campbell. The candidates who will appear on the ballot are listed below, with candidates for reelection listed in bold type.
