Woburn's Preliminary Municipal Election Results
The final ballot is now set for Woburn's Municipal Elections in November.

Woburn’s preliminary municipal election for City Council seats in Wards 1 and 7 was held on Tuesday, August 25. Hundreds of residents turned out to cast their votes. The top two candidates in each Ward will appear on the November ballot.
Joanne Campbell, of Arlington Road emerged on top in Ward 1. She was followed up by Kevin Meaney, also of Arlington Road. The two candidates are looking to replace Alderman Roda DiTucci, who will be stepping down.

Campbell: 282 votes
Meaney: 147 votes

Lindsay Higgins, of Waverly Road, emerged as the top candidate in Ward 7. She received more votes than Charles Viola, of Morningside Circle, who will also be on the ballot come November. The two are vying for the seat that will be left vacant by Alderman Raymond Drapeau.
Here’s how the voting went in Ward 7:
Higgins: 332 votes
Viola: 208 votes
