ArtsWorcester Hosts Opening Reception On June 16
On Friday June 16, from 6-9pm, ArtsWorcester will hold an opening reception for The Fifth Annual ONE. Over 100 regional artists participate.

From ArtsWorcester: On Friday, June 16, between 6:00 and 9:00 PM, ArtsWorcester will hold an opening reception for The Fifth Annual ONE. Over one hundred regional artists participate in this summer blockbuster tradition, bringing the single artwork they want to exhibit most, regardless of theme or media. Five hundred dollars in prizes will be divided between three artists, selected by Roger Hankins, Director of the Cantor Gallery at the College of the Holy Cross. The prize winners will be announced that evening, which also features refreshments from deadhorse hill.
"When you simply ask artists to bring a single work, with no limits, an astounding quality emerges. You get their favorite, their most recent, and, usually, their best, in more media than we can even begin to count," says Juliet Feibel, Executive Director. "We've run this exhibit four times now, and it only gets bigger and better. Every one of our artist members has a shot at a prize, which is an unusual opportunity for an open exhibit like this."
That evening, ArtsWorcester is one of four downtown Worcester venues sharing their exhibitions. Also open and celebrating local artists will be the Nine Dot Gallery, 763 Main Street, the Davis Art Gallery, 44 Portland Street, and the artisanal cocktail bar, the Muse, at 536 Main Street.
