The woman was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant victim.

WORCESTER, MA — The assault charge has been dropped against the Worcester woman who was detained by ICE agents during a chaotic arrest in May, according to the DA’s office.

The charges that led to Rosane Ferreira De Oliveira’s arrest have been dropped. The 40-year-old was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant victim back in February.

The Commonwealth filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Ferreira De Oliveira, and the judge allowed the motion, according to the DA.

The alleged victim was related to her, according to a police report obtained by Boston.com, which said that Ferreira De Oliveira struck her pregnant daughter with a phone charger cable.

This comes months after a large crowd tried to stop ICE agents from taking Ferreira De Oliveira into custody on Eureka Street in May. The chaotic scene was caught on video, and Worcester police officers were involved.
