Clark Gets An Overall 'A' In National Poll

Clark University scored well in this annual report from Niche.

WORCESTER, MA—Clark University got an overall grade of an “A” in the 2018 edition of Niche’s Best Colleges In America and also scored high marks in several categories from academics to value and campus dining and housing, the university announced.

Clark received an “A+” for professors, an “A” for both diversity and academics, and an “A-“ for value. Clark is Number 4 on the list of Most Liberal Colleges in Massachusetts and was Number 7 on the list for Best College Food in Massachusetts.

The Clark profile reads: “Clark's pioneering education model, LEEP [Liberal Education and Effective Practice], combines rigorous academics with world and workplace experiences so our students can be imaginative and contributing citizens, advance the frontiers of knowledge and understanding, and shape a life and career on their own terms. A Clark student regards the status quo and says, ‘I can do better.’”

A typical "Clarkie" is described as "unique," "quirky" and "kind" according to a Niche poll.

The Best Colleges ranking is based on a rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and alumni, said the announcement.
