WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester County District Attorney has charged a Fitchburg man with murder following the fatal shooting of a Worcester man two years ago. According to the DA's office, Franklin Mane, 19, was found dead in May 2021 in a woodsy area off Industrial Road in Leominster. A state medical examiner confirmed Mane died due to gunshot wounds. Mane was a Main South resident, and had <a href="https://spectrumnews1.com/ma/worcester/news/2021/09/01/franklin-mane-worcester-leominster-body" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">last been seen in March 2021</a> before his body was found. The DA filed a murder charge against Wilbert Nieves, 25, of Fitchburg, on Friday. Nieves is set to appear for an arraignment at Leominster District Court on June 1.
