Declared Winter Parking Ban To Take Effect In Worcester
A total of 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected.
WORCESTER, MA — Due to a snowstorm, a Declared Winter Parking Ban will go into effect at 8 p.m. on Friday in Worcester.
Snow is "likely" between 11 p.m. on Friday and 5 a.m. on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service forecast. There is expected to be a total snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches in Worcester.

During the parking ban, parking will be prohibited on both sides of main arteries, emergency routes, and critical downtown streets. Residents can find those streets online here.
Towing and ticketing would be enforced during the parking ban to keep the streets clear, according to the city.

Residents could park for free in the following municipal garages:
- Pearl & Elm Garage – 20 Pearl St.
- Worcester Common Garage – 3 Eaton Place
- Union Station Garage – 225 Franklin St.
- Major Taylor Garage – 30 Major Taylor Blvd.
The city did not announce when the parking ban would be lifted.
Clark Street will be closed for Christmas tree drop-off on Friday and Saturday. The city asks residents to use other drop-off locations at Millbury Street and Chandler Street.
