Free George's Coney Island Dogs In Worcester For Kids During Vacation
The landmark Worcester hot dog spot will give free dogs to any kid or teen who checks out a book.

WORCESTER, MA — Two of Worcester's oldest and most venerable institutions are teaming up during school vacation week to feed the brains and stomachs of local students.
Starting Wednesday, any Worcester student who checks out a book from the Worcester Public Library will be able to get a free hot dog and carton of chocolate milk from George's Coney Island Hot Dogs along Southbridge Street.
Worcester students need only bring the book they checked out from the library to get the free meal.

George's Coney Island Hot Dogs has been serving the signature chili-topped frankfurters — which were developed by Greek and Macedonia migrants, not necessarily related to the place in Brooklyn — from its Art Deco building since 1918.
The Worcester Public Library is only slightly older than George's: the main library opened in 1859, and there are now six satellite branches. The hot dog offer is good through Friday with books checked out from any branch.
