Free Ice Skating Coming To Worcester
The Oval rink will offer several days of free skating, starting on MLK Day and running through February.
WORCESTER, MA - As the winter season takes its late turn, those looking for a little more icy action will be able to hit the rink for free.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross) has partnered with The Oval Ice Skating Rink in Worcester to offer five days of free skating.
The 12,000-square-foot rink at 455 Main St. will welcome adults and children, the latter of which will get complimentary skate rentals, for the third year in a row.

Families can bundle up, tie those skating laces and make some new memories on five separate days throughout the next two months. Free skating will be available on:
- Monday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
- Friday, Feb. 7, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 14 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Valentine's Day)
- Saturday, Feb. 15, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 16, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"For the third year running, we're excited to team up with The Oval Ice Skating Rink, offering free skating events that bring families together and encourage healthy, active living," said Jeff Bellows, the vice president of public affairs at Blue Cross.
