Gifts, Prizes On Tap On WooSox Fan Appreciation Days

WORCESTER, MA — If you haven't attended a Worcester Red Sox game during the team's inaugural season, you still have two good opportunities to prove you're a fan — and get rewarded for it.

The team will hold two fan appreciation days in September, including one to mark the final home game of the season.

The first appreciation day happens Sunday in an afternoon game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The first 3,000 fans will get a model replica of Polar Park, and another 500 will get $5 Dunkin' gift cards. The Banner Bar and Grille in Kelley Square will also be giving away $25 gift cards to 12 fans.

The team will hold a second appreciation day on Sept. 26 in a matchup against the Rochester Red Wings. The home season was supposed to end on Sept. 12, but more home games were added due to many rain cancellations over the summer. At the game, players will select a few lucky fans to get jerseys worn by team members this season.

The final game of the season will be on Oct. 3 when the WooSox are away in Lehigh Valley.

If you still can't make a home game before Sept. 26, the WooSox will of course return in 2022. The home opener is just a few short months away on April 12.
