Hatchet Attack In Worcester Leaves Man Badly Wounded: Police
Worcester police have made an arrest in a late-night attack that happened last weekend.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police on Wednesday arrested a local man who they say used a hatchet in an attack last weekend.
Just before midnight on Saturday, police were called to Ward Street after a reported stabbing that had happened nearby along Jefferson Street. Police found a man at the scene who had a neck wound from a hatchet. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
On Wednesday afternoon, police arrested Jorge Torres-Maldonado, 36, of Pineland Avenue, in connection to the assault. Police are seeking charges of armed robbery, armed assault to murder and aggravated assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.
