Husband, Wife Charged With Child Sex Crimes In Worcester

Police found and arrested Robert Ferro on several warrants. His wife was arrested last month.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man who was wanted on several serious sex crimes with children was arrested in Connecticut on Friday.

Worcester police worked with Willimantic, CT, PD and the Massachusetts State Police, along with the Boston and New Haven divisions of the FBI, to find and arrest Robert Ferro, 53, Grafton Street, Worcester, on several outstanding warrants, police announced.

Perro was arrested and charged with three counts of child rape with force, three counts of indecent assault and battery, two counts of kidnapping, witness intimidation, disseminating obscene matter to a minor, posing a child in a state of nudity, indecent exposure, providing alcohol to a minor and reckless endangerment of a child, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

The Telegram also reports that Perro's wife, Laurie, was arrested last month on charges that included kidnapping and aggravated rape of a child by force by joint enterprise.
