WORCESTER, MA — An investigation is underway into a sexual assault involving students at a school in Worcester.
The incident was reported to have happened during an Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School school-sponsored off-site field trip, according to a statement from the school. The charter school announced it is aware of the allegation and that student safety and well-being are its highest priorities.
Law enforcement is investigating the incident, while the school conducts an internal investigation. The school also acknowledged that parents and families were concerned that students were not immediately permitted to call home.
