Local Chefs Using Girl Scout Cookies In Food Competition
Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-Si-Dos....they're all game for the main ingredient in 'Fork It Over.'

WORCESTER, MA—The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts is bringing back its popular Fork It Over event, the annual Girl Scouts Cookie culinary competition that features some of the region’s top chefs creating unique sweet and savory dishes using favorites such as Thin Mints, Samoas and Do-si-dos and presenting their creations to attendees and a distinguished panel of judges.
The event takes place on Thursday, April 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Events Center at the Hanover Theatre.
(Note, this event was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 8, but rescheduled due to a storm)

This year’s chefs include those from: British Beer Company, DJ’s Tasty Treats, Figs & Pigs, The Hangover Pub, Hilltop Restaurant at Bay Path RVTHS, Karol’s Corner, Matoaca Kitchen & Bakery, Niche Hospitality, Peppercorns, Publick House and Sonoma.
The panel of judges who will determine the winners in both “Sweet” and “Savory” categories are Barbara Houle of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Brad Kane, editor of the Worcester Business Journal, Sarah Connell of Worcester Magazine, Diana Casavecchia of Mechanic’s Hall, Cornelius Rogers of Worcester Regional Food Hub and Scott Croteau of MassLive. Attendees will vote for a People’s Choice” favorite.
A silent auction includes dozens of items including round trip tickets to anywhere JetBlue flies, passes to Wachusett Mountain, Old Sturbridge Villages, Tanglewood, Southwick’s Zoo, Great Wolf Lodge; and several other local, regional and national items.

Tickets are $50 each or two for $80 and are available at gscwm.org or by calling 800-462-9100. All proceeds benefit Girl Scouts and their continuing efforts to provide innovative programs and vital support to girls in grades K-12 throughout central and western Massachusetts.
