The man allegedly robbed a store with a box cutter, ran off, and the cops found money in his shoe.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is facing charges for allegedly robbing a small convenience store with a box cutter.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, police were called to Colony Farms at 1127 Main St., where an armed robbery with a knife had reportedly just happened. The caller said that a man robbed the store and then ran off.

Store employees told police that the suspect, later identified as James Gilbride, 41, Worcester, entered the store, pulled a hood over his head, and approached the clerk behind the register. He held a box cutter with the blade exposed, and said, “Give me the money,” said police. The clerk gave the suspect some money, and the suspect walked out of the store toward Mill St. The responding officer broadcast the description of the suspect, a regular in the store, over the radio.
