Man Pulls Handgun During Sneaker 'Sale': Worcester Police
The two agreed to meet through the "offer up" app.

WORCESTER, MA—Police are looking for a suspect they say pulled a gun and demanded a pair of sneakers and a cell phone after meeting the seller through the "offer up" app.
Around 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, police were called to a robbery that had reportedly just happened/
A 20-year-old male victim told the officer that he had listed a pair of Air Jordan sneakers for sale on an app called "offer up." He was contacted by someone he thought was interesting in buying the sneakers, and they met in the area of Vale and Dorchester streets.

The victim waited in his car and saw a man walking toward the intersection from the top of Dorchester Street near Worcester Academy, approaching the driver's door and looking at the sneakers. The suspect then, according to the victim, pulled a handgun and demanded the sneakers and a cell phone. The suspect took the items and fled on foot, last seen running on Vale Street.
There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6’-0” tall, dark complexion, clean shaven, wearing a dark colored jacket, and a hooded sweatshirt, said police.
