The Jeep Cherokee that hit the man had been headed west on Lincoln Street and Towle tried to cross Lincoln from the south side heading north, and wasn't in a marked crosswalk and wore dark clothing. The Jeep struck him with the front right side bumper. The driver stayed at the scene, and a reconstruction crew was called in to investigate.
