Man In Van Offers Girls Ride, Candy: Gardner, Hubbardston Police

Police and the towns are on alert after reports of a suspicious man in a white van have surfaced.

GARDNER, MA—Gardner police and the town is on alert, and searching for an older white male in a van who reportedly approached two young girls on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, June 12, around 7 p.m., two young females were approached by an older white male with blond hair driving an older white van, according to police. The man asked the girls to get in the van and offered them candy, said the report.

Hubbardston police are reporting a similar incident in which on the same day around 9 p.m. when two young girls were reportedly approached by an older man with "dirty gray hair" wearing a hat and sunglasses and driving a full-sized white van. The man appeared to be video taping the girls, said police.
