New Vehicle Of Interest In Deadly Hit And Run: Mass. State Police

State police just released new surveillance images of a vehicle of interest in a deadly crash that occurred on Route 9 in October.

EAST BROOKFIELD, MA—Authorities continue to look for information connected to a fatal hit and run in October that killed a nurse from Worcester.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said that State Police detectives and the East Brookfield police continue to investigate a crash that killed Lisa Germain, who was a neonatal nurse at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. She was crossing the street when she was struck by a passing vehicle traveling headed west on Route 9 on the evening of Oct. 29.

The crash happened early Sunday evening near Dunny's Tavern in downtown East Brookfield. Two vehicles, a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck, were identified from surveillance videos along Route 9.

Police released a different image in early November that they say was a vehicle of interest. No arrests have been made.

Investigators are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash, stopped to assist, or just was traveling on Route 9 through East Brookfield at approximately 6 p.m. on the day of the crash to contact State Police at 508-867-1170. Investigators also request that anyone who may be able to identify the vehicle shown in the above photographs also contact State Police at that number.
