Nobel Prize Winner to Present to Burncoat Preparatory Fifth-Graders

The presentation takes place in the school library on Friday, June 3.

On Friday, June 3, Nobel Prize winner Dr. Craig Mello will give a presentation to fifth-grade students participating in the Science From Scientists program at Burncoat Preparatory School, focused on the origins of life.

Science From Scientists harnesses the passion of real-world scientists who teach state and national framework-compliant, hands-on, lab-based lessons in the classroom in conjunction with UMass Memorial Medical Center. The program has become so successful that it will be expanded to students in grades 4-6 come 2017.
