Owner Finds Alleged Thief Rummaging Through His Car
When the owner caught Healy in the car, he refused to get out and began punching and swinging a box cutter at the owner.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is facing charges after allegedly ransacking a car and then punching the owner when he found him in it.
Around 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, Worcester police were called to 196 Vernon St. for a possible carjacking.
Officers arrived to find two men fighting in the street next to a Nissan. One of them yelled out to the officer that he is the owner of the car and the other was inside that car trying to steal belongings.

The suspect, Mark Healy, 49, Ronald Drive, Worcester, was being held down by the owner until police got there. Healy refused to get out and began to punch the owner in the face. Healy had a box cutter and started to swing
The owner grabbed his arm to try to stop Healy from hitting him and was able to get him to the ground and hold him until police arrived.

The owner had several facial injuries and was bleeding from punches. He was transported to the nearby hospital. Police looked inside the victim’s motor vehicle and saw that it had been ransacked. It appears that nothing was missing.
Healy was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery on a Person over the Age of 60, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (box cutter), Disturbing the Peace, and Breaking and Entering in a Motor Vehicle. He was arraigned today at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
