Quinsigamond Rewarded With Funding For Baseball Field Renovations

New renovations are coming to Quinsigamond Community College's baseball field - all part of the district attorney's reinvestment program.

WORCESTER, MA - Quinsigamond Communty College will be getting a revamped baseball field thanks to the district attorney's office.

The $10,000 funding from District Attorney Joseph Early's office is part of Early's Drug Forfeiture Community Reinvestment program. The proceeds of drug crime seizures go to community organizations that focus on youth and education.

"As a result of our prevention efforts, we’ve reduced juvenile delinquency complaints by 79%. It happens because you all do the hard work, and we get to partner with you,” said Early.

QCC said they will use the money to improve the bullpens on the baseball field following the March 2025 spring season.

“I would like to extend a huge ‘thank you’ to Worcester District Attorney Joe Early and his team for granting us this funding to support our baseball student-athletes and coaches,” said Director of Athletics & Fitness Center Lisa Gurnick. “We’re very fortunate to have the continuous support of our QCC community and the QCC Foundation.”
