Shooting In Worcester Leads To Two Arrests, Property Damage

Two people have been arrested in an incident where bullets left cars and homes damaged in the Main South area.

WORCESTER, MA — Two Worcester men were arrested over the weekend after a shooting incident along in the Main South area that caused property damage.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday along Birch Street. Police arrived to find four vehicles and one home damaged by bullets. Police identified a vehicle tied to the shooting, and a description of it was sent out to officers via email.

Just before 9 a.m. Sunday, a Worcester officer who was near the shooting scene noticed two people getting into the vehicle near the corner of Birch and Maywood streets. Police pulled the pair over, and arrested Nakia Lane, 48, and Joshua Arce, 34. Police also found a loaded gun in the vehicle.

Both men are facing gun law charges. Lane is also facing charges of being an armed career criminal and driving with a suspended license.
