The restaurant closed on August 17 but has since reopened, according to MassLive.
WORCESTER, MA — The future of a Worcester restaurant is up in the air.
A group of employees and one of the restaurant's business partners walked out of Pho Hien Vuong, according to MassLive. The restaurant closed on August 17 but has since reopened.
Nhi Lai, who walked out, is the business partner of the restaurant's founder, Khau Huynh.

Lai told MassLive that she and those who walked out claim they faced unfair labor conditions at the restaurant. The group said that Lai was dismissed from decision-making and left to carry an unsustainable workload.

“When staff and Nhi raised concerns about overwork, broken equipment, or needing support, those concerns went unaddressed," according to an email sent to MassLive.
But MassLive reported that the workers who walked out have not returned to work.
"The walkout wasn’t impulsive, it was the result of years of exhaustion and unresolved issues," the email reads, according to MassLive.
However, Huynh's son-in-law told MassLive that Lai is a 50-50 partner in the business. He claimed Huynh was responsible for the food, and Lai was responsible for issues related to finances or money.
Huynh plans to retire after 38 years, according to his son-in-law.
