2 MA Women Die After Camper Explosion In ME
The two women from Marlborough and Leominster were camping in Maine over the weekend.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two Massachusetts women have died after an explosion at a campground over the weekend, according to the Maine State Fire Marshall.
Alesia Ventura-Large of Marlborough and Nancy Pilsch of Leominster have been identified as the victims of a fatal camper explosion in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Both women were 58 years old.
Fire officials and EMS responded to the blast at Powder Horn Campground after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. First responders said both women had severe burn injuries and were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where they died from their injuries on Sunday.

Initial findings show that gas had been leaking into and beneath the model camper, according to the Maine State Fire Marshal. Officials believe the gas ignited when one of the women lit a candle, which triggered the explosion.
