WORCESTER, MA — The deadline to run for either city council or school committee in 2023 in Worcester is coming up on Tuesday, and the list of candidates released by the city clerk Friday shows that dozens of candidates will be on the ballot this year.

As of Friday, 23 candidates had been certified to run for city council seats — including open seats in District 4 and District 1 — and another 10 were certified to run for school committee.

But the list is not final. There are 11 candidates who pulled papers to run for city council and seven for school committee who might still get certified by the Tuesday deadline.
