The ballot is fairly thin across the state with the majority of state representative, state senator, and federal legislator elections uncontested at the primary level.

Locally, there are only a few contested elections. There are several contested Democratic primaries for State Committee man and woman in Worcester-area districts.

One race with some intrigue in the primary is the Republican race to challenge U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren in November.

Robert Antonellis, of Medford, Quincy City Councilor Ian Cain and former U.S. Attorney John Deaton are vying to face off against Warren.

A full list of candidates running in the primary is available from the secretary of the commonwealth's website.
