Worcester Bravehearts Get New Leadership

The summer collegiate baseball team announced it has a new manager.

WORCESTER, MA — The summer collegiate baseball team in Worcester has a new manager.

The Worcester Bravehearts announced on Wednesday that it named Shrewsbury resident Joe Galvin to be the team's new manager. He is currently the head coach at Fitchburg State University, has contributed to the Shrewsbury Legion Post 397 Baseball Team, and worked as a police lieutenant in Northborough.

The Bravehearts play in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England.

"I'm honored to lead the Worcester Bravehearts," Galvin said. "This is a community I care deeply about, and I'm excited to help shape a team that plays hard, represents Worcester with pride, and competes for a championship."
