Worcester Encourages Residents To Support Local Shops On Small Business Saturday
Plus, the city announced free parking opportunities ahead of the event.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester residents are invited to shop small at Small Business Saturday in the city on Nov. 29.
The event is meant to support local businesses and cultural festivities. Shopping locally can create a multiplier effect because for every $1 spent with local businesses, about 70 cents stay local, according to the city.
“We encourage the community to be intentional with their holiday shopping this season and support our Worcester small businesses,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “There are many opportunities to support local vendors, makers, and businesses throughout the community over the next month, and all year long.”
