Worcester Gets A+ For Small Business Friendliness: Study
Worcester lands nearly at the top as one of the most friendly cities in the state for businesses.

WORCESTER, MA—For small businesses, Worcester ranks really high in "friendliness." That's according to recent survey results released by Thumbtack, an app and website that searching professionals for projects.
Thumbtack released the grades from its 2017 Small Business Friendliness Survey, which it calls the largest continuous study of small business perceptions of government policy in the U.S. The company surveyed more than 13,000 small business owners in 50 states and 80 cities to evaluate how easy local governments make it to start, operate and grow a small business.
Worcester this year ranked at number 2 out of 80 cities, earning an A+ for overall small business friendliness, which is a 15 percent better score than last year.
