Worcester Man Dead In Westford Wrong-Way Crash
A Nissan driving the wrong way on I-495 collided with a Honda early Friday morning.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is dead following a wrong-way crash in Westford early Friday morning, state police said. Police received multiple calls around 2:10 a.m. for a white Nissan SUV driving north on I-495 South near Exit 31. A serious crash was reported minutes later, according to police.
Investigators believe a 2018 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 45-year-old Westford woman, was traveling the wrong way on I-495 and hit a 2017 Honda Civic, driven by a 35-year-old Worcester man. The Worcester man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been publicly identified.
The Westford woman was first taken to Lowell General Hospital, then flown by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with serious injuries, state police said.

The crash shut down I-495 South for about two hours. It remains under investigation.
