Worcester Man Killed In Connecticut I-95 Crash
The crash happened earlier Thursday morning along I-95 near Stamford, according to police.
WORCESTER, MA — A 26-year-old Worcester man died Thursday morning after he crashed along Interstate 95 in Stamford, Conn., according to Connecticut State Police.
Police identified the driver as Emmanuel Pierre. He was taken to a hospital in Stamford, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes in Stamford. A preliminary investigation showed Pierre was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue on in the right lane when, for an unknown reason, the car left the lane and struck the metal beam guardrail on the right shoulder just north of Exit 8, Connecticut state police said.

The car then crossed all three lanes of travel and struck the concrete barrier in the median and came to a final stop blocking the center and right lane.
