Worcester Police Investigating Double Shooting

Gunshots fired near Southbridge Street around 3:30 a.m. Feb. 24 has prompted a police investigation.

WORCESTER, MA - An investigation into a double shooting is currently underway, according to the Worcester Police Department (WPD).

In the early morning hours of Feb. 24 Worcester officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots and found 30 shell casings in the Southbridge Street area.

Investigators determined three males were in a vehicle stopped at a red light when another car drove up behind them and fired off gunshots. The suspect drove off, and the operator of the victim's vehicle drove to a nearby hospital.

2 of the three men were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, and the WPD is currently investigating the incident.
