123 Animals Seized From Michigan Home
Ducks, rabbits, kittens, dogs and domestic birds were found inside the home. Some of them were dead, according to reports.
MICHIGAN — Investigating an animal welfare complaint, authorities in Michigan found more than 120 animals inside a home — several of which were dead, according to reports.
The call stemmed from a welfare concern about the living conditions of a rabbit, prompting the St. Clair County Animal Control to visit the home on Tuesday, the Times Herald reported. The shelter director reported a strong odor from the home and officials ended up seizing 123 animals, including birds, dogs, kittens, ducks, chickens and rabbits.
Investigators reportedly found several rooms full of bird cages and many deceased animals, too, the report said. No arrests were made, but charges are expected.
