24 Inches Of Snow Possible Across Upper Peninsula: MI Winter Storm
Forecasters warned snowfall rates can be between a half inch to 1 inch of snow per hour through Wednesday.
MICHIGAN — A winter storm can dump up to two feet of snow in some parts of Michigan through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas in the Upper Peninsula from Menominee County to northeast to Luce County can see anywhere between 6 inches of snow to 24 inches along the Lake Superior shoreline, according to the weather service.

Meanwhile, areas in southeastern Michigan can expect periods of heavy rain and even some rumbles of thunder overnight through Wednesday morning, according to the weather service.
After a brief break during the morning hours, the rain will pick back up in the afternoon and evening hours, before transitioning into a wintry mix during the nighttime hours, according to the weather service.
