4 Rescued From Sinking Boat Near Pictured Rocks In MI: Coast Guard Officials
Rescue crews were also able to save the boat, coast guard officials said.

MICHIGAN — Four people were saved from a sinking fishing boat near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula last Friday, according to officials.
Officials said the small boat was north of Grand Marais in Lake Superior when they received a call that the boat was taking on water.
Coast guard officials with the Marquette Station were on patrol when the call came in and diverted their 45-foot response boat "Medium" to respond. The National Park Service also responded with a rescue boat.

Rescue crews then took the four people off the sinking boat and were able to tow it back to port, officials said.
