Air Quality Remains Poor Across MI Amid Wildfire Smoke
Michigan was under an Air quality advisory Tuesday for the seventh straight day.
MICHIGAN — Smokey skies due to Canadian wildfires will linger across Michigan through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
An Air quality advisory was again extended into Tuesday across the entire state. Forecasters expect pollutants to be in the unhealthy for sensitive groups range with some locations reaching the unhealthy (for all) range.
The advisory is expected to be lifted Tuesday night.

Officials said conditions may be unhealthy for sensitive groups and urged them to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, keep windows closed overnight and run central air conditioners with high-rate filters.
Residents should also watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness or burning in the nose, throat and eyes.

Highs will reach the mid-80s across Michigan, including the Detroit area Tuesday. Humidity will gradually rise throughout the week with highs eventually hitting the upper 80s, near 90 degrees, the weather service said.
The next chance for rain in the Detroit area doesn't come until early next week.
