All of southeastern Michigan is under a Cold Weather Advisory through noon Wednesday.

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Some areas of southeastern Michigan can see lake effect snow Tuesday amid bitter cold temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

The best chance for snow in the region Tuesday will be between Interstate 69 and Interstate 94 in metro Detroit area, according to the weather service.

Forecasters expect roughly 1 inch of fresh snow in those areas through Tuesday, according to the weather service.

Tuesday's high will stay in the single digits with below zero wind chills across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.

By the nighttime hours, lows across the region will fall below zero with -20 to -25 degree wind chills, according to the weather service.
