This MI City Can Win Best Main Street In The Nation Again
A southeastern Michigan city is defending its title for having the Best Main Street in the nation.
HOWELL, MI — A southeastern Michigan city is defending its title for having the Best Main Street in the nation.
Howell is among 20 other cities competing for USA Today’s 10Best Readers' Choice Award. It’s the only Michigan city to make the list.
An expert nominated each city and readers will pick the winner. Readers can vote once per day until polls close at noon on Monday, April 7. The 10 winners will then be announced Wednesday, April 16.

"These 20 places with charming main streets ... offer more than just a road; these streets are living history, have a vibrant culture and serve as the hearts of their communities," USA Today says.
The outlet ranked Grand River Avenue in downtown Howell as the No. 1 main street in America in 2024. The area is known for many walkable restaurants, bakeries, boutiques and pubs, as well as a historic movie theater.
