MI DraftKings Player Hits $9M Jackpot While Betting Just 20 Cents
The progressive jackpot had been building since February 2024 when it started out at $1 million, according to the company.
MICHIGAN — A Michigander hit the largest online jackpot in U.S. history Wednesday after betting just 20 cents on DraftKings, according to the company.
The player won $9.28 million while playing an online slot machine, Irish Pot Luck, at 20 cents per spin, according to the company.
The lucky winner wasn't identified, nor was the payout protocol and how much of those winnings will be earmarked for state and federal tax withholdings.

The progressive jackpot had been building since February 2024 when it started out at $1 million, according to the company.

The previous U.S. record for an online jackpot was $6.45 million, which was won in August 2024 in New Jersey.
