MI Gas Prices Hit 2025 Low: AAA

Michigan motorists paid an average of $44 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.​​

MICHIGAN — Gas prices across Michigan hit a new low for 2025 on Monday morning, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan was $2.96, which is 12 cents cheaper than last week and 49 cents less than a year ago, according to AAA.

Gas prices are also down in the metro Detroit area, although they are still among the highest in the state, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas across metro Detroit Monday was $3.01, which is ten cents less than last week’s average and 43 cents below the same time in 2024, according to AAA.

"Motorists across Michigan are seeing some of the lowest pump prices so far in 2025," said Adrienne Woodland, AAA's spokesperson.

The most expensive places to get gas Monday in Michigan were in Ann Arbor ($3.02), Metro Detroit ($3.01) and Marquette ($3), according to AAA.

The cheapest places to get gas Monday in Michigan were in Benton Harbor ($2.88), Saginaw ($2.89) and Traverse City ($2.89), according to AAA.
