MI Hiker Dies After Fall From Cliff: Sheriff
Officials believe the incident was an accident and do not suspect any foul play.

KEWEENAW COUNTY, MI — A hiker died Saturday after falling from a cliff in northern Michigan, according to the Keweenaw County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened at 12:10 Saturday near Manganese Falls in the Keweenaw Peninsula near Copper Harbor, officials said.
Officials said the man in his 50s was hiking in a remote area when he fell roughly 25 feet off a cliff. He was found dead at the scene, officials said.

Police are not releasing the victim's identity at this time to respect his family's privacy.

Manganese Falls is located just south of Lake Fanny Hooe, Fort Wilkins State Park and Copper Harbor in the Upper Peninsula. The site features water drops at least 45 feet from the top of the rocky gorge to the bottom past sheer moss-covered walls, Visit Keweenaw said.
