MI Lottery Club Takes Trip To Upper Peninsula, Come Home As Millionaires After Jackpot Win
With their winnings, the group plans to take a trip to Florida, pay bills and live debt-free, according to lottery officials.

MICHIGAN — A Michigan lottery club took a trip to the Upper Peninsula and came home millionaires thanks to a jackpot win on a scratch-off ticket, according to lottery officials.
The Genesee County club bought their $2 million winning Michigan Lottery’s 100X ticket at Trout Lake Speedy Mart, located at 21601 M-123 in Trout Lake, which is roughly 30 miles northwest of Saint Ignace.
A club member told lottery officials they were returning from a cabin trip in the Upper Peninsula when they decided to stop at the market for food, drinks and a few lottery tickets.

"When I scratched off the prize amount of $2 million, my heart started pounding and I felt like I was having a heart attack," said the club member. "I told my friend we just won $2 million and handed him the ticket. It was unbelievable! You never think you will be the one to win a prize like this, so it feels unreal."
The group chose to receive the prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.3 million, rather than annuity payments for the full amount, according to lottery officials.
