MI Man Jumps Onto Moving Car, Causes Crash: Sheriff
One person was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash, according to officials.
CALHOUN COUNTY, MI — A Michigan man was arrested Tuesday after jumping onto a moving car and causing a crash that left one person injured, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened at 9:02 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Avenue in Calhoun County, according to officials.
Officials said a 44-year-old from Battle Creek man was acting "erratically" and damaging store products at the business.

He then left the store and jumped onto a car that was stopped nearby, according to officials.
He tried opening the car's door, startling the driver who then sped up and crashed into another vehicle, according to officials.

After the crash, the man tried to get into the disabled vehicle but that failed too, according to officials.
He then tried to open the door of a third vehicle that was stopped in the area, and when he couldn’t get in, he punched the car, damaging it, according to officials.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man got into the passenger's seat of another vehicle, according to officials.
The driver of that vehicle quickly exited to avoid conflict with the suspect, according to officials.
The man initially listened to officers' commands to exit the vehicle, but then started to become agitated and uncooperative with the deputies, according to officials.
He was eventually arrested in connection with the incident and placed in the Calhoun County Jail on felony charges, according to officials.
Police did not specify the charges.
