HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI — A Hillsdale County man won a $6 million prize in a Michigan Lottery raffle game, lottery officials said.

The 69-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big prize when his Super Raffle number (130129) was selected as a $6 million winner in the drawing on Nov. 19, lottery officials said.

He bought his winning ticket at B&T Party Store, located at 12823 East Chicago Road in Somerset Center, which is roughly 20 miles south of Jackson, lottery officials said.

"I checked my raffle number on MichiganLottery.com the day of the drawing and couldn’t contain myself when I found out I’d won the $6 million top prize," he said. "I called my wife over to the computer to show her the results and I think she stopped breathing for a minute when she found out how much we won!"

He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $4.1 million, rather than annuity payments for the full amount, lottery officials said.
