Michigan Man On 'Killing Spree' Arrested; 2 Found Dead: Sheriff

Officials say the man showed deputies photos on his phone of two women who appeared to be dead.

Law enforcement officials in Michigan arrested a man who they say was on a "killing spree" and authorities identified two women who were found dead in their homes.

Around 2:40 a.m. on Friday, the Eaton County Sheriff's Office responded to a home after a woman said there was a man knocking on her door who wanted to see her. According to sheriff's officials, the man began texting her and some of his texts were concerning.

One of the texts said "he loved her so he spared her, and she would know what that meant soon” and another text said he "had been ridding the demons of some dear friends of his," according to sheriff's officials.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office located the suspect within an hour. Sheriff's officials said the suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants and he told deputies he needed to show them photos on his phone.

Officials said the man showed deputies what appeared to be photos of two dead women.

After investigating further, officials said they performed welfare checks at the homes of two women in Delhi Division and Meridian Township. Officials found a 26-year-old woman dead of multiple blunt force trauma in Delhi Division and a 32-year-old woman dead of multiple blunt force trauma in Meridian Township.

The suspect was identified as a 26-year-old man from Delta Township. Officials said the investigation is ongoing and charges would be announced soon.

Authoritites also said their investigation identified two additional victims the suspect planned on killing.

The women found dead were identified as Kaylee Ann Brock, 26, of Holt, Michigan and Julie Ann Mooney, 32, of Williamston, Michigan.
