More Storms Tuesday Amid Another Hot, Humid Day: Metro Detroit Weather

The storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours and strong winds reaching up to 60 miles per hour, the weather service said.​

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — More thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan amid another hot and humid Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The storms are likely to develop south of Interstate 69 during the afternoon and evening hours, when highs reach 90 degrees across the region, the weather service said.

The storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours and strong winds reaching up to 60 miles per hour, the weather service said.

Cooler air will push highs back below 90 degrees Wednesday and then highs will likely fall below average by Thursday and Friday, the weather service said.

Highs will jump back into the 80s with plenty of sunshine this weekend, the weather service said.
