Snowy Conditions Lead To 16-Car Pileup On I-94 In West MI; Multiple Minor Injuries: Police

VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI — Multiple people were hurt Tuesday morning in a crash involving 16 vehicles on Interstate 94 in west Michigan during whiteout conditions, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 94 between mile marker 46 and 56 near Hartford in Van Buren County, according to police.
Police said three semi-trucks initially crashed on the freeway, causing a chain reaction that caused several more crashes and slide-offs during whiteout conditions.
