BEAVER ISLAND, MI — One person is dead after a small plane crashed in Northern Michigan.
The accident happened on Beaver Island, WPBN reports, and emergency crews responded to a loud explosion near the Beaver Island Airport, WDIV reported.
The plane was reportedly in a heavily wooded area of the island. Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
