Severe Storms Possible Tuesday Across Detroit Area: What To Know
Tuesday will be another dangerously hot day, but thunderstorms may finally bring some relief to the area, forecasters said.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Tuesday will be another dangerously hot day, but thunderstorms may finally bring some relief to the area, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures across the region will again reach the 90s with the real feel climbing into triple digits, the weather service said.
The Extreme Heat Warnings and Advisories across southeastern Michigan are set to lift at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The weather service said the dangerous heat will bring storm chances to the area during the afternoon hours. Forecasters expect the storms to move into the area sometime between 2 and 11 p.m.
Any storm that pops up will be capable of producing heavy downpours, small hail and winds reaching up to 60 miles per hour, the weather service said.

There will also be a chance for storms Wednesday across southeastern Michigan as a cold front moves into the region and stalls over the state line, the weather service said.
There is a marginal risk (level 1/5) of severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon for all of Southeast Michigan and again Wednesday south of Interstate 696/96.
Highs fall back into the 80s with more storm chances to round out the week, the weather service said.
